Short summary of the plot
: The eight wonder of the world, is the real name of this movie, but is really that?. Its director Peter Jackson, one of the best in the moment I think, made a big investment on this, and for my opinion achieved good results, specially in the economic part. Set in the 1930s, this is the story of a young and beautiful actress Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts) from the world of vaudeville who in the depression-era of New York her luck changes when she meets an ambitious filmmaker Carl Denham (Jack Black). They form a group to film a movie in and dangerous island. This crew led by the film director, and in the boat of the Captain Englehorn (Thomas Kretschmann), go to the mysterious island to shoot their picture, when they find that the legendary beast on the island exists, start the problems, the natives capture the crew's leading lady as a sacrifice to the monster, King Kong. So, they, with the help of Jack Cristol (Adrien Brody) and the ambition of Carl Denham, go into the jungle of the island to find the creature and rescue the girl. The big problem was that King Kong couldn't resists the beauty of Anne. Finally they captured the beast, and go back New York with it, but there it scapes and the militar force doesn't have any choice that kill it.
Your opinión:
Is an excellent example of the Science Fiction Genre, but also is a good adventure and remake movie. For my opinion, Naomi Watts makes and excellent representation of Anne Darrow, is a very good actresses, and the special effect doens't have any fail. Is importan to say that its MPAA Rating is PG-13 - for frightening adventure violence and some disturbing images and its running time is around 185 minutes.
